The innovative DB9 was the start of an exciting new era for Aston Martin. When it became the first model to be hand-made at the company's state-of-the art facility in Gaydon, Warwickshire, the 2+2 sports car set new standards in its class.
Continuing this success story we are delighted to offer the Aston Martin DB9. It combines all of the style, quality and usability of a traditional Aston Martin and the 6.0 liter V12 engine delivers improved performance with a peak power of 470 bhp (350kw) - an increase of 20 bhp over the previous model. New standard 19" 10 spoke alloy wheels, new door mirrors and a revised anodized aluminum five-bar grille enhance the exterior styling. The interior of the new DB9 features a new centre console and a stylish key and docking station.
The DB9 features a revised chassis tune for both Coupe and Volante. New dampers, revised upper suspension arms and tunable suspension bushes have been introduced to deliver improved ride and reduced impact harshness.
In addition the DB9 Volante has had a series of refinement actions to improve feel and to reduce noise levels. Torsional rigidity has been increased which reduced steering wheel vibration and shake, delivering a greater feel of overall integrity. Changes to the hood construction also deliver 20mm greater headroom and a layer of Thinsulate® material has been introduced to insulate the cabin from noise and the elements when the hood is up.
