The new V8 Vantage S is the latest exciting addition to the Aston Martin Vantage range. Extremely agile and responsive, it invites intense driver involvement ? providing a highly engaging and distinctive driving experience, without sacrificing usability.  The new V8 Vantage S builds on inherent V8 Vantage strengths, enhancing the dynamic aspects in particular, to increase the appeal of our V8 model line to performance orientated customers who love the thrill of a winding road.  The exciting new V8 Vantage S sits perfectly between the V8 Vantage and V12 Vantage.  We now have an immensely strong product line-up in the Vantage range - with a car to suit the needs and desires of any driver.

V8 Vantage S features an upgraded engine, an all-new bespoke 7-speed "Sportshift II" automated manual transmission, and revised chassis and braking system resulting in a supremely responsive and exhilarating sports car.

The 4.7 litre V8 engine in the new V8 Vantage S delivers 430bhp of power and 490Nm of torque (10bhp and 20Nm over the standard V8 Vantage). The enhanced power and torque delivery in combination with the close ratios of the 7-speed transmission and a short final drive ratio result in sensational in-gear acceleration and performance feel, particularly in the mid-range.  A multitude of revisions to the chassis - including a quicker steering rack, competition-derived floating front brake disc system with cast iron discs, 6-piston front brake calipers, new springs and damper tune, wider rear wheels and tyres and a new stability control system; have created an incredibly involving driving experience for the sporting driver.

The objective for V8 Vantage S was to re-engage the target V8 Vantage market ? the sports car enthusiast who loves the thrill of driving on a winding road and for whom agility and performance are of the utmost importance. As the smallest model in our range and a front-mid engine sports car with rear transaxle, V8 Vantage benefits from the inherent agility that accompanies compact design and excellent weight distribution, however, the chassis is also fundamental to delivering the dynamic requirements. To develop the characteristics appropriate to an ?S? model, the Chassis team concentrated on the handling, ride and steering.

A multitude of revisions to the chassis have been introduced for V8 Vantage S:

 Faster steering rack ratio

 New upper and lower steering column installation

 Competition-derived floating front brake disc system with larger diameter discs

 6-piston front brake calipers

 New 3-mode stability control system

 Revised spring and damper rates

 Revised anti-roll bar rates

 Revised powertrain mounting rates

 Stiffer suspension bushings in the upper control arms

 Wider front and rear tyres with wider rear wheels
